Urban Makers East – Meet the designers/makers
Urban Makers East was founded in Bow, the heart of the East End in 2013 by makers who realized that a local, designer led market was missing from their creative and diverse area with so many established and budding designers, artists, crafters living and/or working there.
The Spring Market we visited in April was held at the Mile End Ecology Pavillon and showed a great variety of traders as well as offering a real community feel with over 40 stalls.
The Market was very busy with an estimated 2.000 people visiting making for happy traders all around.
Architect Julien and Photographer Margaux, the designers/makers from l’Établi showcased their 3D printed collection of products at the market all the while making new products right there on the spot.
Mika Sembogi from Mikabonbon showcased her fun range of handmade bags and wallets
Maker Kaori Yatsumoto-Russel was present at the market with her range of colourful kids clothing and accessoires called KocoKids.
